Are Indie Sellers and Endangered Species?

Possibly, if people keep doing research and finding not-so-positive information.

Edit: Let me comment that I do own some Madd Style Cosmetics. I'm not vegan, so if the products aren't vegan, that's OK.
I would be concerned if any company claimed they were 100% vegan and then it turned out they were buying non-vegan supplies & couldn't adequately explain why.

I have not placed Madd Style on the "No-Buy" list, I've found nothing to indicate that Mo of Madd Style does anything unsanitary or unsafe in production and the info in Eplefe's blog is raw info provided for individuals to make their own decisions.

What I will say is WHY I will out bad indie sellers whenever I find them. To protect each and every consumer out there. Having proper labels & actually putting what you say you do into your products is essential in this day and age where more & more people are allergic to more & more ingredients. I know of people allergic to coconuts, carmine, beeswax etc etc. All are pretty standard in the makeup community. So for the sake of my friends who ma die as a result of a seller not labeling and being dishonest, I feel it's important to share any information I receive, as long as it is verifiable.

Here's the deal: I am a cranky, cynical Gen-Xe'r. Also, after 34 years I am a realist. Being a hippie doesn't mean being out of touch. Shit annoys me, pretty much daily, and I'm inclined to believe (at least occasionally,) that being vocal about my annoyances is a valuable service.
