Sean Bean has Commitment Issues

This post is dedicated to my sister, who is of the firm opinion that Sean Bean has commitment issues. I'm inclined to believe her, lets look at the evidence.

I will preface this that I have not seen everything Sean Bean has been in, but of those I have watched, this man just doesn't make it to the end credits alive. The only conclusion is that he has: a) commitment issues or 2) an insane fear of sequels (and quite frankly, with some of the absolute monkey feces coming out of Hollywood these says, so do I.)

Let's look at a sampling:
Patriot Games-dies
GoldenEye-dies
Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring-dies
Game of Thrones-dies
Oblivion (video game-voice) dies!
I'm pretty sure he dies in Ronin as well...
Oh and he'll be starring in "Black Death." This doesn't look good...

The above film shows Sean Bean dying 21 times. Warning, it gets graphic.

Seriously, is his first question when offered a big budget role "will I be able to die?"  Perhaps since Tinseltown has run out of original ideas they can remake "Deathwish" and cast Sean Bean. It wouldn't be type casting, since he'd survive to the end credits. But that would disprove this theory.

In all seriousness, I <3 Sean Bean. Who else do you know would climb a mountain rather than take a helicopter to the set. Or gets stabbed in a bar fight while defending a lady's honor, sits down, and keeps drinking?

Hahaha awesome post ! I can't remember - does he die in that movie with Nic Cage where Cage is the treasure hunter and Sean Bean ♥ is the baddie?

How have I not noticed how much he dies?

pretty sure he just went to jail in the Nic Cage movie. Maybe he gets shanked after the credit or something. He did stay alive through the whole Sharpe's series, I think.

actors have zero control over the script. if sean bean's character gets killed in the film - or the movie does not follow up with a sequel - it has nothing to do with the actor.

nope, he doesn't have "committment issues" since FOUR TIMES he has committed to getting married. i'd say he can "commit" to both his films and his wives, but then having a career which makes him on the move constantly on location 90% of the time torpedoes his marriages.

nope, no committment problem. he is the mighty bean........just watch Game of Thrones and see that this guy just ice's it in terms of being resolute, forthright and formidable.

Actors get ultimate control in scripts-they can choose to take a role or not, and yes, they often see the script beforehand. That is a form of control.
Apparently Anonymous has an issue with satirical commentary.
